Dear Lois & Family:
What a wonderful man Maynard was. He was always friendly and had a smile on his face and a kind word from his mouth when we would see him at family gatherings. We knew him as “Papa” from Kyle’s loving name for him. We will miss him for just a short time while we remain here on earth but we know he is with our Lord and we will be with him for eternity. This is our blessed hope and I know you are holding firmly to Jesus’ hand as you walk through this valley. Nanny, I know you will miss him the most. What a blessed gift he was from the Lord to you for 63 years! Our prayer for you is that God’s holy angels surround you and comfort you while you grieve over him now and the months and years ahead of you. I know the Lord will provide that comfort and care to you since we have experienced that wonderful peace/care after losing our own spouses 4 years ago. Romans 8:38-39: For I am convinced that neither death nor life,… nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The Lord loves you greatly, Nanny. Hold fast to the One who is always faithful and will never leave you! Love, Becky and Paul Dacus (Amber Alt’s mom and stepdad)
