I worked at Oak Park for 28 years, and I knew and valued Nancy. She was a dedicated and professional educator. Her students and colleagues benefitted from her presence.
David, I am Janet Herdman’s sister and just heard the news of Nancy’s passing. Our family was blessed by the fact that you both set Janet and Jim up on their first date. Over the years we have met at several Herdman special occasions. Nancy was a lovely lady and I always enjoyed visiting with her. Please know you and the boys and your family are all held close in our prayers. God Bless you all.
I read about Nancy in the Dispatch and am so sorry to learn this news. I didn’t realize she lived so close by. I havn’t been active in AGD so didn’t keep up. We were such good friends ( along with Kathy Cambell and Karen Finch) and I’m sorry I didn’t look her up. We had many fun times – especially with our Sorority “Production” that we put on every year as a fund raiser. We were also fellow teachers here in the area. I’m sorry for your loss as I know what a terrific person she was.
