Dear Barb, Sue and Family,
The staff at Operation Breakthrough sends you their warmest thoughts. Bob’s loyal support of our children and their families spanned three decades. We feel very blessed that his love of family extended to our children. He made a real diffference for them for many years.
Fondly, Jennifer and all at 31st and Troost
It was our priviledge to know Bob. He was a keen intellect and loved life. He will be missed.
Bill, I am sorry for you loss. Your dad must have been a wonderful influence on you, and I am sure he was a great man because of the character you display. You and your family are in my prayers and on my heart.

Hello to the Tomassi family,
This is Kathy Farrelly(Nancy’s) daughter. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My memories of Bob are that he made my mom always laugh! She had a love for him that was so beautiful. That attributes to what a wonderful man he was. I am sure their reunion was beautiful. Please know that you are all in our family’s thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I am so very grateful for being able to visit with Bob, Barbara and the kids -his last visit to CT.—Love and Blessings to you all~Kathy

Your family is in our thoughts and prayers!
Dear Barbara, I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. Although I haven’t seen you for a long time, your time as a fellow
school nurse in Shawnee Mission, brings fond memories to me. What a great job we had – and fun times. I will be sure and pass
word of your loss on to Lisa Hardten Corder. Your patience and love made her Jr. High years more tolerable. Our love to you and your family.

Dear Barbara and family; My deepest sympathy to all of you. Bob had a special place in my heart. He was a wonderful man and we were so blessed to be able to call him family! I remember my Mom telling me about listening to the radio when they said the war was over. She said it was the best day cause she knew Bob was coming home! The thought of them being together brings a smile to my face. Love you all, Marybeth
To Mary and entire family,
Mary and I worked together for over 10 years at Wakarusa Valley School in Lawrence, KS. We became good friends.
She would always share all the adventures the entire family went on and I was always happy to hear about them.
You all have such a strong, loving and very close family. You are all very fortunate to have that.
Take comfort in that and the fact that you all got to spend some very quality time with your Father. What a wonderful family he and your Mother Barbara has raised and will always be proud of.
May God give you peace.
Jean Dreiling
Steve and Sue,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We only met your Father a couple of times. But it is easy to see where Steve gets his good nature and zest for life. May God grant you peace at this difficult time. Knowing you will see him again on the other side is the comfort that God assures will be our reward.
Mary and Alvin McCurdy
Bob was the best boss and manager I ever had. He will be missed by many.
Dear Barbara and Family, One of the greatest managers of all times. Hello from The Hartford Insurance Group! I worked in the accounting and underwriting depts for Bob and he granted me the first On Job Training program into the underwriting dept with Ida Sextro and Dorothy Moore as the managers. What a difference in my life and the opportunities have been priceless on my life long resume in the Insurance Industry. I truly have included Bob and Barb Tomassi in my daily Sacred Heart Novena Thank Jesus prayers. Thanks for the memories, Bob. One of my favorites; (Barb, you must remember the Bob Tomassi Roast! conducted by the Marketing Dept (Jerry Bryan and the Hartford Club). 87th and 1-35, Ramada Inn; it was a surprise dinner and dance and roast from workers all over the Hartford world. Such great fun!
Eternal Rest grant unto Bob, O Lord and let the Perpetual Light Shine upon him, may he rest in Peace. Amen
Barb and kids, pick up a book , Heaven is for Real! I assure you Bob is watching and visiting with all family members in Heaven. That’s for sure.
God Bless,

I worked for Bob Tomassi when he was general manager at ‘The Hartford.’ He was a wonderful manager and everyone loved him. We worked hard, but he made it fun to work there. I remember one time we wrapped him in toliet paper and he looked like a mummy. I hope it was at Halloween, but I can’t really remember. He was very proud of his kids and very much enjoyed ‘his Barbara.’ I am proud that I knew him and got to work for him.
