Wilbur Dean Williams, Sr., 83, Olathe, Kansas, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011, at his home.

 

Wilbur was born February 6, 1928, in Ellis County, Oklahoma, to Hubert and Lila Mae Williams. He started working at O’Neill Oldsmobile as a mechanic when he was 18, retiring at O’Neill’s at age 65 in 1996.

 

Wilbur is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lucille Williams; daughter, Patty Smith and husband, Bob, Olathe, Kansas; three sons, Dean Williams, Jr., Terry Williams and wife, Pon, all of Olathe, Kansas and Keith Williams and wife Nancy, Gardner, Kansas; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. 

 

Visitation and Funeral Service

 

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, November 14, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.  Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at the chapel.  Burial in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.

    I’ll miss you great grandpa. ill never forget you and the great times I’ve had with you.. I know your in a better place now but its hard for me to let go you were the best grandpa ever.. I always remember going with you and grandma to clean lisa’s house & you would always play barbie dolls with me.. and you would always let me sit in ur barber chair in the garage.. you were always so quite and kept to your self but we always knew you were there.. you are an amazing great grandpa <3 and I love you and miss you so much.. I promise ill go to a royals game for you atleast once every seasond & I know you'll be watching from above I love you GG can't wait till I see you again some day! look after Grandma she miss's you keep her strong and healthy! love you GG wilbur!
