I first met your Mother who was visiting my Mother in the nursing home. My Mother was Dora Windsor. Your Mother and Father were the sweetest and most loveable people I have ever met, and they were so kind to my Mom. I’m sorry I didn’t know your Father had died. We were probably living in Fl. at the time and moved back here 8 years ago. I am now taking care of my husband who has copd and alzheimer’s, so I know I won’t be able to attend the service. You had a wonderful Mother and my blessings & prayers
go out to you.

For Stephanie and Dennis: Harold and Evelyn volunteered at Saint Luke’s Hospital for many years, where I work in Volunteer Services as Patient Visitation Manager. They were the sweetest, most loving and dedicated volunteers possible. They always brought in handmade bookmarks and cards for all of us. They truly loved what they did and always put the needs of the patient first. They were wonderful, loving ambassadors of kindness and compassion. I was so sad when they had to stop volunteering. I visited them after they moved to Lakeview, and they were always so happy to see me and reminisce about their volunteering days. Evelyn loved to tell me about how they met and that they were married in the Saint Luke’s Chapel. I had never seen a couple so loving to each other. And they spoke of the two of you so that I felt I knew you. They were very proud of you and loved you both very much. I give thanks for their great, long and loving life. Please know they were loved and will be missed. It was a privilege to know them–they were an inspiration to all of us who work with volunteers. All blessings to your family.
Stephanie and Dennis –
I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing, and to read in the obituary that your dad is no longer living. Harold and I worked together for the Aviation Department for many years, and through him I met your mother. After Harold and I retired, the 3 of us frequently met for lunch, and they even started me attending their church, Pine Ridge Presbyterian. (Dennis, you many remember that I met you several years ago when you were here to visit your folks; the 4 of us had lunch together after church.)
My birthday card to Harold sent to Lakeview Village last April, apparently reached him, since it was not returned to me. But the one to Evelyn in July was returned, undelivered. When I called Lakeview for forwarding information, the receptionist was unable to provide it.
Again, I’m sorry to hear of Evelyn’s death, and for not knowing of Harold’s. They were both wonderful people, and I miss them greatly.
