Joseph Thomas Renfrow
Joseph Thomas Renfrow, 57, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2011. He was born April 14, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Frank and Shirley Renfrow. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandpa, and uncle.
As a young boy, Joe grew up in Vancouver, Canada and Oklahoma eventually moving to Kansas and starting his family where he lived the remainder of his life. He spent more than 30 years in construction and flooring. He was an excellent craftsman and loved working with his hands. He was a very kind and giving person, who would help his family and friends as much as he could. He had a wonderful sense of humor, very adventurous, and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Renfrow; stepson, Jimmie Phillips; and nephew, Jaekob Renfrow. He is survived by his wife, Cheri Renfrow; three brothers, Frank Renfrow Jr., Bill Renfrow, John Renfrow; his children, Angela Simmons, Jason Renfrow, Chad Renfrow, Angela Breitenstein, Nicole Ferree; and his grandchildren, Jenna Simmons, Addison Simmons, Cooper Simmons, Hank Williams, Lennon Westervelt, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Memorial Service
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011, followed by a visitation until 5:00 pm at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
