A job-related transfer brought Bob back to the Kansas City area in December 1969 where the family resided in Shawnee, Kansas. On October 1, 1977, Bob founded Murray Industrial Food Sales, Inc., with Edith as Office Manager. Bob’s son, Rick, joined the business in June 1978 and continues to run the business today. I am saddened to hear of the passing of Rick’s Father, Bob Murray. I never had the opportunity to meet or know Bob but I have known Rick for almost 20 years. I value his relationship, both in work and as a friend very much. Reading the obituarary of Bob’s it’s certainly understandable how and why Rick became the person he is. Strong work ethics, strong faith, grounded in realism of everyday hard work, family oriented, all the same things Rick expemplifies.
Having gone through the same painful process with my Mother who suffered from alzeihmers for almost eight years before passing, I know the many emotions that must be tearing at your hearts. Kathy and I offer our sincere condolences and our prayer for God’s peace for your family and continued celebration of Bob’s rise to glory.

  8. Bob Hoopingarner Says:

It was both an honor and a pleasure to work with Bob and everyone at Murray Food Sales during my years at French’s Ingredients and International Dehydrated Foods, Inc. It was very clear to me that he was interested in taking care of the customer and supporting the efforts of the companies Murray Foods Sales represented. It proved to be a very successful business plan that has served the Food Industry, his company and his family well all these years. May he rest in peace in the presence of the Lord. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends in this time of sorrow but we know he is looking over us, guiding us to tomorrow.
