After college she worked as a home economist for a utility company giving consumer programs. After their children were born, she operated a small cottage craft business, taught in a kid’s day out program, and was a receptionist in dental offices. Their kids knew their friends were always welcome at their home and she liked having all of them around. She loved watching their children participate in their many activities, from football to swimming, drill team to soccer, roller hockey to tennis, student government to youth group, and served in many supporting roles throughout these years. Many of her good friends came from these wonderful years.
Jurie and Dave were married for 39 years and happily raised their family in Overland Park, Kansas. Throughout their married life they also lived in Wichita, Kansas, Louisville, Kentucky, Irvine, California, Austin, Texas, and Southampton, Massachusetts.
