I was very sorry to hear of Marilyns passing. Over the past many years there have been few days gone by that I have not thought of her. Her warmth, the little dimples when she smiled, her love for Jon and brother Jim.
I will never forget her. Marilyn was a very special friend and I will always miss her.

Thanks to all of you who have left a message here or sent one directly. Your messages and prayers are very helpful and mean a lot to us.

Messages about your relationship and interactions with my Mom are particularly meaningful to us, like the lady who was startled by finding a big plastic roach-like bug when gathering Mom's personal belongings from her desk at work.

These shared memories help us remember this special lady and how she had a special place in your hearts.

Along these lines ... over the years my Mom has had every imaginable hair color that could be considered "normal". Black, red, brown, highlights, and bleach-blonde. Jim says the one thing she learned at beauty school was how to dye her own hair. Nobody, maybe not even Mom, knew what her real hair color was anymore. And Mom loved a good blonde joke.

So, I offer one last blonde joke in her memory ...
An employee was looking for a way to get time off work ... with pay. One morning the boss discovers him hanging from the office ceiling. "What are you doing up there?", he demands. "I'm a lightbulb!", he replies with a goofy grin. "You're crazy! Get out of here!" As he leaves, the blonde secretary follows. "And where are you going?", asks the Boss. In blonde-like fashion she replies, "I'm NOT going to stay here and work in the dark!"

Mom,
I love you and I miss you,
Jon

Dear Jim and family,

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's tough to lose a wife, mother or sister, and I hope you will see her again some day.
