Johnna Raye Gilbert, 47, Shawnee, Kansas,  passed away Friday, March 12, 2010. 

 

Johnna was born August 5, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri.  She was a member of Ink’d Girls.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Pearson and sister, Linda Kusich and her father, Robert Martin.  Survivors include her husband, Tim Gilbert; mother, Doris Jackson; two daughters, Arminta Gast, and Sundaye Mitchell; five sisters, Grace Rice, Kelly Sue Allejo, Eleanor Brooks, Jayme Studer and Kimberly Johnson; granddaughters, Katarina, Jillian, Kyra, Raven, Reena and Hailey; other family members including Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gilbert, Tina and Mark Terpering, Charles and Shannon Young and Liesl Todd and her pets, who meant very much to her, Pewter, Cole, Maya, Inca, George and Sam.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to either the March of Dimes or the American Cancer Society.

 

Memorial Visitation

 

Memorial visitation will be 7-9 pm, Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.

    Arminta , I am so sorry for your loss , she has gone home and is at peace now, no more pain ,she is truly one of gods companion’s and remember he won’t bring you to it and not bring you through it , it is hard right now I know it has not been that long since I lost my father and it is still hard some days but I remember when he was not in pain and was smiling and laughing with us and that is what your mother would want you to do , remember to enjoy all the wonderful gifts she has left you , her laugh,the quiet times,sharing,and even the pain and the tears, her journey is over and she is at peace now .

    Arminta, I am so sorry for your loss of your Mom. A mother is such a treasured gem. I know it’s hard for you right now but know that in time, it will get better. Just remember-no more suffering for she is in the arms of God. You take care Arminta and may God Bless you and your family.

    Tim, Mindy and Sundaye we are sorry for your loss.
    Johnna was a wonderful beautiful loving women, wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to so many. We will cherish all the time we had with her while she was with us. Joey and I will miss her very much and will see her again in a better place. She will always be in our hearts as she will be in yours.

    Dear Tim and Everyone Whose Life Johnna Touched,

    Please accept my deepest condolences and sympathy for your loss. I regret that I did not know her better, but I do know that she was, and will always be, a beautiful, kind, strong and loving person. Though she has left this world, she will live on forever in all our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

    I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I did not know Johnna nor do I know Tim, but I am a friend and very fond of both Charlie & Elaine Gilbert (Tim’s parents). I pray that time will heal your pain and that the lord will carry you during your time of need. My deepest sympathies to the entire family.
