Betty Lynn Jacobs
Betty Lynn Jacobs, 76, Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at her home.
Betty was born November 29, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Robert J. and Gladys (McKinney) Maxwell. She earned her BS degree at Central Missouri State in Warrensburg, Missouri. She worked as an X-Ray technician until she became a full-time mother. She made and sold ceramics to many local craft stores. On August 25, 1962, Betty married Edward F. Jacobs in Fairway, Kansas. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, puzzles, reading and her dachshunds.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Jacobs on February 8, 2004. Survivors include her daughter, Beth Wasko and her husband, Matthew; her sons, Scott Jacobs and wife, Ruth and Wade Jacobs and his wife, Kathleen all of Overland Park, Kansas; and five grandchildren, Katelyn, Madison, Alex, Peter and Mary Grace Wasko.
The family requests contributions to Kansas City Hospice, 9221 Wornall Road, Suite 100, Kansas City, Missouri 64114.
Visitation and Funeral Service
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Friends may call from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at the chapel.
