Daddy, I love you and miss you so much. I know your watching me now saying, “stop crying,” but my heart is breaking. I wanted you know your memory will never leave me. I read this poem recently and really liked it, yep Dad I read, and I was going to as Mom if I could read it at your last farewell party, so here you go Dad:
    I Love You Dad
I love you Dad with all my heart
And hate that we should be apart
Our love is a bond that can’t be broken
You may be gone, but never forgotten

I remember the day you went away
The pain in my heart is every beat
But I know that eventually, one day
    We will, once again meet

The loss is something I can’t describe
I’m really going to miss you
One day I’ll be back by your side
So I can hug and kiss you

There are no words to tell you,
    Just what I’m feeling inside
The shock, the hurt, the anger
    One day, will gradually subside

Things will never again be the same
And though I’m hurting quite bad
I will smile whenever I hear your name
And be so proud to remember my Dad

Sleep well darling Dad, forever in my heart and my thoughts

I will miss your smile, your laugh and your barbeque. I thought i would follow suit and also leave a poem that I read. Every bit is true. I will Miss You, Dad

To a dad who is terrific,
To a dad who’s real neat.
To a dad who makes the best of things,
Even when they’re not so sweet!

To a dad who’s growing older,
To a dad that’s going gray.
To a dad who just gets smarter,
It would seem from day to day!

To a dad who has potential,
To a dad who is the best.
To a dad who’s been successful,
And who drowns out all the rest!

To a dad that I admire,
To a dad that I can trust.
To a dad that I appreciate,
That’s what makes this rhyme a must!

To a dad that I call father,
To a dad that’s held it through.
To a dad I’ll love forever,
Because dad you know it’s YOU!

I don’t know where to begin……You have help make me be the strong person I am today. You taught me everything I know. You always called me your little tom boy who was never scared of anything! I never got to say thank you for all you showed me and for always being there when I needed you most. I just don’t know what I’m going to do without you. You were the rock of our family. I just can’t seem to think you are gone. I wait for you to walk through the door and say I’m home! You and I had such a close bond! I’m not going to say “BYE” daddy, just that I will be with you in time. You would be so proud of Mike, as you called him your son…..he has taken your military stuff you gave him, and made a nice memorial for you. I know you would love it! One of his soldiers that made the picture Mike sent to you from Iraq will be doing your military honors at your service. It is weird how thing workout dad! I love you so much and you mean the world to me….I will know you will be by my side forever, and help me get through this tough time. I will leave this with your favorite fraise you used to say and do with your hands up…..NA NOO NA NOO……LOL!!!! LOVE YOU DADDY, from your one and only TOM BOY and BABY GIRL!!!!
