“Sweet” Georgia Brown

Sweet Georgia Brown, 86, Shawnee,  passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009 at home. 

 

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; 12 siblings; one daughter Barbara Lea; and one grandson Ronnie Ray. Georgia is survived by her husband of 66 years Lee; a son Larry (Vivian);  four grandchildren Kathy (James ) Fisher, Tawnia (Dustin) Koelliker, Michael (Misti) Brown, Brittany Brown; and 10 great-grandchildren.  

 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Heart of America Chapter, 3846 West 75th Street, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208.

 

Visitation and Funeral Service

 

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.   Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the chapel.

    Larry and Vivian,

    First I want say that we are sorry from the bottom of our hearts, I couldn’t imagine how hard it would be to lose my mother. Larry I’ve worked with you for four years now, and you have always been more of a friend than just a coworker. So your mother must have been one special lady to have raised a special son, and family.
