James J. Hamm

James J. Hamm, 74, of Shawnee, KS passed away Nov. 24, 2009.  He was born Nov. 9, 1935 in KC, KS to Reginald and Ann Poplauski Hamm.   He served in the US Army , stationed in Germany.  James retired from Proctor & Gamble after 38 years and was a member of the  P & G Retirees, the Lithuanians of America, and St. Joseph Catholic Church. 

James was preceded in death by his brothers Charles and Reginald Jr. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Mary A. Hamm, by his children, Charles Hamm (Sheila), Gail O’Connor (Walter), Kenneth Hamm, Timothy Hamm (Lori), Kevin Hamm (Theresa), 12 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sisters Ann Marie Borusheski and Charlene Hamm.

Visitation and Service

Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, with the rosary recited at 5 pm.  Mass will be held 10 am Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, KS.  Followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, KC, KS.

Contributions

Contributions in memory of James may be made to the Parkinson Foundation or Catholic Charities.
