So sorry to hear of Doris’s passing. She and Bob were such a dear couple in our Kearney United Methodist Church. They enjoyed going out to breakfast with Church Friends after the 8:15 morning service on Sunday.
I visited her a few times while she was at the Plattsburg Nursing home where I also had another friend staying. Doris was what I called a Classey Lady! My prayers are with you and your family.
Love in Christ, Judy Gingerich
Doris and Bob attended breakfast after Sunday morning services at Kearney First United Methodist Church with a group of us for several years. She had a mischevious smile, a twinkle in her eye and enjoyed her cup of tea. Doris worked hard in her home and garden and always looked like she stepped out of Vogue. We visited her in Plattsburg and kept her in our prayers. We are grateful she is at peace. A Beautiful Lady.
In Christ’s Love

My sympathy to Doris’ family and especially to JoAnne, a high school classmate and friend. Sadness at the passing of family members is often overwhelming, but loving memories have a gentle way of easing the pain.
Reading the story of Doris’ life gave me one of those ‘small world’ moments. My cousin, Leonard and my Aunt Grace also spent years at Planters. Leonard spoke of having the best people working together during those years. Obviously, he spoke of Doris.
May she rest in the peace and comfort of a life so very well lived.
Jane, I am so sorry about the loss of your Mom. She will always have a special place in my heart and I will always remember her and her laugh. She was very good to me when we were little kids and I have a lot of good memories-and her Toll House cookies were the best ever. My thoughts are with you and your family at this time and if you ever need anything or would just like to catch up on old times, please feel free to contact me.
