To all who love my Aunt Alice,
I will always remember Aunt Alice for her kind, graceous and loving ways. As my mother's next oldest sibling and life-long close companion, I've often thanked God Aunt Alice was near by and knowing she would do everything she could to help mom.
I've often thanked God, too, that I had the great good fortune to be born into such an artistic family. Aunt Alice, as we know, was i delightful artist, as was mom, though their mediums varied. I'm rather artistic myself, or maybe 'crafty' would better describe me.
I love anything in the yarn/handwork line, with emphasis on crocheting and quilting.. I've made curtains for every room in my house by hand, some rooms more than once - strange hobby!!
Aunt Alice, as noted was a wonderful cook and I can truly say, I've greatly enjoyed everything she ever made and served me. I treasure several recipes she's given me!!
Growing things responded really well to her; like Grandma Massey (Sartain), she had 'the Touch'. She has given me many plant cuttings, and they are prized additions to my yard!
The world is a poorer place for losing her, but heaven is enriched.....and how glad she and mom must be to see each other and be together again, and this time not for a brief lifetime filled with the conflicts and woes of living, but forever, in perfect joy and harmony. Hallelujah and Amen!
I've never sent condolences electronically and hope I didn't break some rules or something. I loved Aunt Alice all my life and like to think I contain some of her goodness, bestowed by the lady herself, by osmosis, family genes, whatever. God bless us all!!

I met Alice while interning at Project LIVELY. I have lovely memories of her...and remember how much she cared for her family.

I met Alice when I coordinated a Project LIVELY interview with her for a reporter with the local paper. She was a lovely person and truly a member of the greatest generation.
I am so sorry for your loss.
