As a young RN, I was at SMMC’s 3 North when Mary started working there, and worked side by side with her throughout those 17 years. Who could forget her famous “limo ride.” Her kids (and then grandkids) were the center of her life, and we were all entertained daily by stories of their many humorous escapades. In addition, her maternal wisdom and unique insight helped many of us raise our own families. Mary was even a successful matchmaker for more than one of our nurses!
She most certainly touched many lives, and is remembered fondly by all who worked with her. My condolences to Mary’s family for your double loss.
