Elizabeth J. Litfin

Elizabeth J. Litfin, 72, Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Kansas City Hospice House.

 

Elizabeth was employed by Tidewater Oil  then a succession of Oil Companies ultimately retiring from Chevron  in 1999.  She was a member of AARP, Friends of Powell Gardens, League of Women Voters, and a longtime avid supporter of the Arts in Kansas City, Houston, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

 

Elizabeth is survived by her brother Walter Litfin, Forrest Hills, New York; longtime companion Dennis Deere, Lenexa, Kansas; and four cousins Alex Berenyi, Kansas City, Missouri, Mariann Bruzzi, Bayonet Point Florida, Claire Root, Indianapolis , Indiana, and Barbara Berenyi, Stony Brook, New York.  

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sister Servants of Mary, 800 North 18^th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, 66102 or St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.

 

Visitation and Funeral Service

 

Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at The Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, Kansas  66203.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 27, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
