I first met Rosie about twenty something years ago. I was at one of her neighbors’ house “Coral “. She always had that smile that made you feel welcome. I also remember Rosie when she worked at Furs Cafeteria, I really enjoyed going there because Rosie was there and so was her smile, happiness you could just feel from her. I will miss her.

I only met Rosie a hand full of times, and feel truly blessed to have those times. She was pure joy and and shining light. Thank you for those few times Rosie. May God bless your family during this time, and may they remember the way you lived.

To My Nanny,

I miss you terribly. It helps reading all of these nice notes all of your friends are leaving. You were so special to so many people. I am so proud to be your Granddaughter. Thank you for always being there for me and for all of your love. I read the book you used to read to me everynight to my new son and think about you. ” I’ll like you always, I’ll love you forever, as long as I’m living my “Nanny” you’ll be” I have some peace knowing you’ll still take care of us and look out for us.

Rosie became a good friend of my mother’s many many years ago. It is sad to read of her passing, I recall her hearty laughter sitting at our kitchen table when I was no more than 8-10 years old. My prayers are with the family at this sad time.

Father Michael and Daniel,
Your mother was one of the most wonderful people God ever put on this earth. Even though we never met face to face, her personality came right through the phone. She had such a joy and enthusiasm for life that all of Shawnee will surely miss her light. I am in Houston and looked forward to her calls every holiday and the birthday cards she sent every year will be missed.

When you look up the word Character in the dictionary you will most likely see a photograph of Rosie. I wish that I would have taken it! She was a wonderful woman. She still is!
