Denise –
Our deep prayers to you and your families. You are all so dear to us.
We feel so priviledged to have known Gene in our Monticello years and the fun days we had together, he was really a great man and will be missed.
Deep love to all of you.
Scott, Ted and Rita
It is ironic that on Saturday, at a high school graduation party of one of my students, that I had a chance to tell stories and remember coach McCurdy from the team of 1965-66 at Northwest Junior High. Coach gave this little white boy an opportunity to play with some really great talent. I went on to play at Wyandotte and became a head coach myself. Coach McCurdy and his characteristic smile made their mark on me. My memories of my days with coach were happy times and I am saddened at his loss.
Thelma and family: I was sorry to hear of Gene’s passing. Our family’s prayers are with you.
I am Evelyn Schmidt’s youngest child. My mother is living at the nursing home in Wamego.
