Phyllis and Family
I’m so sorry Roger lost his battle but you know he’s with the Lord. May your faith give you strength and peace to carry on. After all, life is for the living and the Lord gives us time to grieve and heal. You were good neighbors for many years.
Phyllis, I’m sharing my Love, Friendship, & Sympathy with you, but we both know that Roger is so happy to be in the presence of his Lord. I bet Roger is sharing some of his anecdotes with the Lord right now & telling him about all those “nice” cards I have sent him through the years!!!! “Till we meet again, Roger” Love ya, Shirley
Roger is such a special man. When I have jellybeans I always think of him. Please know that many are grieving with you. Thank you Phyllis for all you did to help him be the dear saint that he is.

Phyllis,
So sorry to hear of Roger’s death. Joe and I will always remember him with you in your beautiful garden.
We had such a lovely visit with you when we stopped by with my Dad, Ron Smith, his friend JoAnn, and my brother, Jerry, 3 years ago. You and Roger were the most gracious of hosts. We left feeling like we took some of your beauty and kindness away with us.
We are thinking of you.
Linda and Joe Van De Rostyne
I had the opportunity to meet the Holmes family while I was in Shawnee for a brief visit. I have never forgotten how gracious and friendly Rogers parents were to me while I was there. Mr. Holmes asked me questions pertaining to my parents, home, family and future plans. He was a very sweet man. It seems like maybe there was a train track or something he showed me in the basement that he was very proud of……that’s been over 32 yrs. ago., and I have trouble keeping my four kids straight at times. From reading the obituary it appears , that he is healthy now and is in the presence of his maker. I still stay in touch with the Rafferty and Lutz families, and was told about Mr. Holmes passing. I will pray that your loved ones will find peace and healing during this painful loss, Thank you for being kind, and my sincere sympathy, Lovingly, Brenda Black Field
