Kathleen Gayle Rains, 78, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away April 1, 2009.

 

Kathleen is survived by her daughters Terri O’Bryan of Leawood, Kansas and Lynne Sosna of Olathe, Kansas; a son Chris Rains of Kansas City, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Corey Sosna, Kelley Ragle, Kyle Sosna, Cody Sosna and Devin O’Bryan; and 2 great-grandchildren.  Kathleen was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend.  She will be greatly missed.

 

In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

 

Visitation and Funeral Services

 

Services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church.  A visitation will be held from 5-7 on Friday, April 3, 2009 with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.  Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa.

    Dear Terri, Lynne and Chris,
    I am sorry to hear of your Mom’s death and know she will be missed. Your Mom was a wonderful person and I’ll always remember the good times we had on Dearborn Street. I remember your Mom visiting my Mom and being suprised at my kids sitting on the floor eating bowl after bowl of cereal. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
