Donald P. Woolery

In Memorial

Donald P. Woolery, Sr., of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 at Presbyterian Manor.   He was born on November 7, 1911, in Stewartsville, Missouri.

 

Don was a veteran of WWII, and began a career in the restaurant business in Kansas City, Kansas, that lasted many years. That came to include the Nu-Way Sandwich Shops at 13th and State Avenue and Seventh and Southwest Boulevard, the Wyandotte Courthouse Café, and the Wyandotte Café at 78th and State Avenue.

 

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Berniece and two sons, Don Jr. (Cheryl) and Joel (Beth).  Also, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 

Private Graveside

 

Private services will be held at Fort Leavenworth Cemetery.
