Lonnie and Cyndi-I really was speachless when you told me what had just happened. I am still amazed at your dedication to the students of Royal Valley as you felt the need to take the team to practice yesterday. My heart so out to you and I wish there was something I could do to ease your pain. I just can’t even imagine. If there is anything at all I can do please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Just learned of Joel’s passing. I enjoyed talking to Joel the few times we were able to visit as well as his musical talent. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Joel was a real blessing at Trinity. He was loving and fun with the children and had a beautiful voice that he shared during the Well Servces that we attended. He will be missed.
Lonnie and family,
Wanted to send my condolences, even though I only know you through talking with Janette Sharpe about the Cain family. So sorry for your loss.
Lonnie and family,
Wanted to send my condolences, even though I only know you through talking with Jeanette Sharpe about the Cain family. So sorry for your loss.
I was a fraternity brother of Joel’s at Baker. My memories of him are of a fun loving, ever-exploring young man. I’m glad to read he never stopped singing.
My thoughts are with you Sarah and your family.

Dear Susan and Family: I am thinking of you this a.m. and while I cannot imagine the grief you feel, please know that your friends and family are remembering you in our prayers. God doesn’t need all the old wilted flowers in his garden, he needs some bright and shining stars. Love, Lorraine

I was a fraternity brother of Joel’s and have many, many fond memories. He loved life and shared that love with everyone he encountered; had a personality that could fill a room. Although we lost touch over the years, news of his passing hurts deeply. My thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless.
Susan my friend,
I am so sorry for the loss of your son. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of sadness. God Bless….
Although Joel and I were never close, I’ll never forget his kindness – especially during my first days at Baker when I didn’t know many people. I graduated from JCN and we knew one another from high school. Joel was a familiar face and he was always friendly and shared a smile when we’d meet on campus. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Susan, and your whole family (Sarah, Abby and Emily-Mike and Andy, and families)
We’ve got you in our hearts and wish we could be with you.
Al and Wini, Mary Lee and Jim- we know how much you share in this loss.
There are many good memories of this beloved young man. Love, Nancy

It saddened me greatly to hears about Joel’s passing. When he lived here in Moundridge I played piano for him many times. We had lots of talks, and lots of fun! He also brought Emily and Abby with him to church several times. He was so proud of them!
To the family of Joel: All of us who knew him are saddened along with you. We will pray for you to find comfort.

I am still shocked about Joel’s passing. I was in choir with him and we were pretty good friends at Baker. I remember him skiing on our choir trip. He skied with reckless abandon! We shared a joke all the way home from the trip. It’s hard to wrap my brain around. I’m so sorry. I have a son and I cannot imagine losing him before I go.
