Julie, I read about your dad’s passing this morning. I remember him with such fondness. I remember talking to him so much on the phone when he would call you at work. And, he was always so nice to me when I would visit them with you. He was just a delightful guy. My own father just turned 95. We feel sad at their passing or the thought of it, but we can’t regret letting them go. If your dad was like mine is, he was ready and willing to make the journey. My thoughts and prayers are with you, my old friend.
Sandy
Julie: Your mom and dad were “over the fence” neighbors when they lived on Palmer Pond and my family lived on Ballentine in Shawnee. They were both so caring and sweet people and were so kind to my girls (3), one’s name was Julie. I am so sorry that you have lost them both and know that you will have beautiful memories to sustain you. Marilyn Bohnert
Julie, Coming across your father’s obituary was certainly beyond chance. I know that your father was a good man who brought strength and comfort to many. My thoughts are with you now as they were so long ago during your brief time in Iowa.
