Kenneth Hoy, Jr.
Kenneth Hoy, Jr., 72, Shawnee, Kansas passed into the hands of Jesus Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam, Kansas.
Kenneth was born March 26, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Kenneth and Claire (Gurrie) Hoy. He graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Texarkana, Texas and earned his BA degree from St. Edwards University, Austin, Texas. Kenneth held many positions in the Department of Justice and retired as Director of Education in Texarkana, Texas in 1986. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a past member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Texarkana.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Annie L. (Brown) Hoy of the home; four daughters, Charmaine and Curt Coonce, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Laura King, Independence, Missouri, Kathleen Moore, Sommerset, Kentucky and DeDe and Frank Stodden, Parkville, Missouri; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation and Funeral Service
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2008 at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, where a Rosary recitation will be at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8 at the chapel. Cremation will follow.
