Leo, I think of your mom as my aunt and you as my little brother. I have many fond memories of our parents singing at the table and us covering our ears. Helen had a nickname for everyone that would make us laugh. I will truly miss her. God bless you and yours, my prayers are with you.

    Hello Leo,

I am very sorry for your loss. Your mom, I’m sure you know, was one of the most, and I mean most, wonderful people in my life. I cannot tell how much she influenced me, guided me, made me feel loved and encouraged me all throughout my life. I loved her with all I have. I know what a great loss she is to me, I can only imagine the great loss you are feeling.

But I also know you have some of the best experiences and memories any kid could have growing up with a mom like you had.

I hope you find peace Leo. Much love!

    Maureen “Bridget”

    Dear Frank & Charlie,
I’m so very sorry to read about Helen. She is in a better place now. My darling husband, Darrell, went to heaven on Dec. 2, 2008, after suffering with bladder cancer for over a year. We would have been married 58 years on Jan. 13, 2009. I cry a lot but that’s normal. Our seven children comfort me a lot – thank God!
We had some good times together in Shawnee didn’t we, when we were growing up?

God bless both of you, Frances Rita

    Leo,

What a wonderful and happy person your mother always has been! She was so creative with all the names she gave everyone. She had so many for me and I was always from somewhere! Sister Bill from Over The Hill, Buella Lou from Tin Buck Two, Sister Mary from Tucom Carrie, Rodeodi from Tucom Cody. I will always remember these names and she (I’m sure) was the influence in my life when I gave my kids and pets nicknames.

There are so many great memories she has left us with, her whistling and humming in the backyard while she was doing yard work, coming over to visit at our house and resolving the “discussions” dad and Uncle Ward were having. After your dad retired, your mom gave your dad flowers to plant in her flower garden around the patio and your dad planted them perfectly straight and exactly measuring evenly in spacing all in a row just as neat as his garden was kept. And many, many more!

She always somehow knew something about everything!

What a great neighbor and best friend was she for my mother! I strive to be more like them. Those two are definitely my idols!

She will be truly missed by all!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

    God Bless You,
    Rosanne McAnany
