Gervis will be truely missed. He was a kind, caring and giving person. He came to work everyday with a smile on his face and with a story to tell. He loved his family so much and would tell us funny stories to brighten our day. He is a man who touched my heart. He will never be forgotten.
Mary and Family,
What a wonderful life and family Gervis had and has. I know I loved listening to the stories of your wonderful family whenever we got together with friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with you this week, and may God bless you with the peace and comfort that surpasses all understanding.
Love you Mary, and thank you so much for all you did for me in the last 9+ years you are a strong, compassionate and wonderful friend.
Vickie McCorkle
I want to offer my condolences to everyone in the Beiriger Family. I will cherish the times that I spent with Gervis whether at the house or when we used to work together at Sprint. Gervis was a special individual to me and I will remember the talks that we used to have about anything in general with me always listening. He always made me feel like a part of the family. I know that he is in a better place, already scoping out the best places to cast his fishing rod and just enjoying the time just fishing. I will truly miss my friend. Mary, Vickie, Judy, Cristy and David-Gervis will always be in my thoughts and my prayers. Please remember that I am always here for you all. God bless.
Dear Beiriger Cousins!
I am sorry I can’t be with you all during this sad time- I will miss Gervis and his wonderful sense of humor, his contagious laugh, and his love of life. I will always remember him as my “parran”- I know we were not able to visit very much but when we did it was always such a wonderful time!
He has joined all of those who have gone before him. They are all having a good ole time up in heaven and now he is another angel watching over us.
Love
Annemarie
23451 – Jeanette and I wish to offer our sympathy to you and your family for the loss of Gervis. As cousins when he lived in New Orleans, I always looked forward to vacation visits with the family. It was a time when we would all go fishing, shrimping, crabbing and swimming at the Lake or in the Gulf Gervis had a love for life and a sense of humor like noone else. We will keep him in our paryers and memories forever. Bob and Jeanette Sonier

Mary and family,
The world seems less enjoyable knowing that Gervis is no longer with us. He was a true gentleman, I have never known anyone like him- the mold was definitely broken with him. Our hearts and prayers are with you.
I offer my heartfelt condolences to the Beiriger family. Gervis was a great man and the more I reflect on my interactions with him, I am reminded of how much he has taught me. His stories were always wonderful, and whether he knew it or not, there was always an underlying message of love, family, patience and compassion. He will be deeply missed.
My sincerest condolences, Mary, Vicki and family on the loss of that dear man. He and I had a long conversation having run into each other at Hy-Vee and neither he nor I could remember Carmie’s name…that was the scourge of the neighborhood, right? What a pleasure it was to chat with a gentleman when all we had in common was a cat whose name our memories would not divulge . How nice to know a real gentle man..how much he must have meant to your family…Pleas know others are saddened by his loss
Lois Fish..from Dr. Fry’s Office…
I’d only known for a short time having just joined the fly club, but he immediately struck me as a very nice, amiable man who welcomed me with a warm handshake and a smile. He will be missed by all of us, and by the fish he longed to interact with. Deepest sympathies and prayers with you all. God bless. Dan Sulit, fellow fly fisher
Mary, my sympathy to you and your family over the loss of a great husband and family man–he truly loved each and everyone of you. He shared freely with his friends the good times he enjoyed with each family member and he had a special place in his heart for his grand children, they meant the world to him. He will be sorely missed, but the memories of him will be with us always. May the Lord grant you strength to carry on during this difficult time. My love and prayers are with you, Val Ficken

I am sorry to hear you have lost your father. I can see in you that you share and carry many of his values and beliefs and in knowing you I feel I have known the high quality of a father that you all will miss. God Bless Scott
Cristy & family,

Gervis welcomed me into the sport of flyfishing and the HOAFF. He was always friendly and cheerful. I will sorely miss him. I offer my condolences to his family and friends and I ask God to welcome Gervis into life everlasting,
My sincerest condolences to the family. I only knew Gervis through Heart of America Fly Fishers, but always enjoyed his engaging smile and sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by all of us at HOAFF.
Mary, my sympathy to you and your family over the loss of a Wonderful husband and family man. He always was a gentleman to me; he always held the door open, with him chivalry wasn’t passé. I will miss him giving me great tips on places to see whenever I make it to Louisiana. I will truly miss him but I will continue to save the pull tabs from my sodas, he taught me that something as small as saving pull tabs can help others in a greater way.
I met Gervis and his son David through the HOAFF. No matter what was going on Gervis always made the situation more enjoyable. He readily offered his assistance, wisdom, perspective, and humor in just the right proportions. Everyone always felt comfortable around Gervis. I offer my sympathy to the family and know Gervis will be very content on God’s trout steam. Gervis was a fine gentleman. We will miss him.
Dear Mary and Family,
I’d like to extend my sympathy on the loss of your dear husband, father and grandfather.
I feel blessed to have known Gervis and to have shared some time with him over the past several years. It was always such fun to see him and Rob in the lunchroom in the old DEMDACO building. Sharing in their conversations and hearing his laughter was a joy.
He set a wonderful example of a good man with a twinkle in his eye and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I can’t believe how much my heart hurts without him here. I am so bleesed to have had a great father.I felt his love ALWAYS! My husband felt “lucky” to find a great father, mentor and friend in himl. Kennedy will forever remember waffels while watchin “fishin shows” with Gramps, hIs loud sneezes and his silly laugh.
Rest in Peace Daddy!
XOXOXOXO

He is simply my biggest supporter, the go to guy when faith is needed and the first one to share good news with.
Mom, you have been our rock- showing me how to grieve gracefully and how to move forward. Judy, David and Cris, you all made him so proud.
We are lucky to have each other. I love you all.
