Marian L. Gillapp

Marian L. Gillapp, 87, Shawnee, Kansas passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center.  

Marian was born Sept. 20, 1921 in Kansas City, KS to William R. and Louise (Herman) Kemp. She was a 1939 graduate of Wyandotte High School. Marian was a retail clerk at A&P Grocery Stores for 30 years, retiring in 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth L. Gillapp. Survivors include her two sons, Richard L. Hathorne and wife, Mary Jo, Shawnee, KS and Kenneth G. Gillapp, Lenexa, KS; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Center Maternity Home, 2226 Troup, Kansas City, KS 66104 or Villa of St. Augustine.

Visitation and Funeral Services

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29 at the Villa of St. Augustine, 3008 S. 34th St., Kansas City, KS 66106. Inurnment will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Kansas City, MO.
